Red Rum announce Sunken Treasure Tour

If you’re in any way a regular visitor to the site, you’ll know by now that we are all about the pirate metal. Therefore this news fills us with glee we haven’t felt since Chris Bowes last announced a tour. Red Rum (you know damn well where this is going) have announced a tour! #yarr #quest #piracyhashtag  The press release is as follows, but we’ll be there, with rum in our stomachs, a song in our throats and a hangover in our heads.

“Neoclassical pirate metal crew Red Rum, as seen on Alestorm’s Piratefest UK tour last year, have announced their headline UK tour, suitably called Sunken Treasure. The tour will begin in Dudley on 24th July and finish with the band’s appearance on the Sophie Lancaster Stage at Bloodstock.

Black metal coven, Forneus, who hail from the cold, northern lands of Yorkshire have been announced as the support act on tour and they will join Red Rum at all the dates except Almsot Fatal Festival in Barrow In Furness and Bloodstock.

Tour dates are as follow:

24th July – Rock Zombie, Dudley
25th July – Oriana Bar, Barrow in Furness*
26th July – Exile, Plymouth
28th July – Boston Music Room, London
29th July – Yardbirds, Grimsby
30th July – O’ Rileys, Hull
31th July – The Londsborough, Bridlingto

  1. Pure Awesome! The Goddess of darkness, Bekkie Brumby and her motley crew have sailed a rather long and gruelling voyage to get here but finally get to hoist the anchor at their main port of call, Bloodstock! Arrr! A treasure well earned lads and lassie! 😀
